4° In her works, Jane Austen portrays complex female characters - who, during the 19th century, needed to follow different social rules. In general, it showed the feminine universe of the time in its narratives - including rules on marriage, dress, among others.
5° In 1813, her work more famous “Pride and Prejudice”, were published. She used the same pseudonym however her identity were disclosed. In 2005, the classic book become the movie, being starring by Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew Macfadyen as Sr.Darcy.
6° After the death in 1817, her family burned almost all of her images and correspondence. After that, her family created the image that they wanted to her: a woman kind, flawless and followed of all the old tradition.
7° For that event, until today her physiognomy is unknown. Her unique image were created by her sister Cassandra - however, second the historians, do not corresponding her real physiognomy.
