1º Emily Brontë was born in Thornton, in the country Yorkshire, north of England, in 1818. Her parent’s were Patrick Brontë and Maria Branwell.
2° Emily was extremely shy, recluse and appreciative of loneliness, she had few friends and arrived nearly misanthropy. There is a legend that during three years, as long as Emily and your brothers were educated on home, Emily does not speak with anyone else without be her family.
3° She was loving and kind, loved the nature and animals with special attention by wet landscape. However, her favorite place was the kitchen where learned German, what showed your big intelligence.
4º With her sisters, Charlotte and Anne Brontë, published a poem book in May 1846, where they paid for that. Charlotte contributed with 20 poetry, Emily and Anne with 21 each. For that, they invented pseudonyms that do not identify themselves as male or female, and all with the same surname, equally fictitious, Bell. In choosing the new names, they chose their initials: Emily being Elis: Charlotte being Currer and Anne as Acton.
5° Between 1845 and 1846, Emily wrote her first and unique romance, Wuthering Height. However, it book were refused a few times until be published in December 1847, in joint edition with Agnes Grey, by Anne.
6° In September 1948, Emily contracted a bad cold and symptoms of tuberculosis. Even Emily going to worst, she rejected any doctor and usual medication, saying that she does not wanted a “poisoner doctor” with her.
7° Emily Brontë died around 2pm, with thirty years at sofa at the family residence in Haworth. It is said that she had lost so much weight that his box was only 41 centimeters wide. She was buried in the Brontë mausoleum, in the church of St. Michael and All Angels.
